As provided by the National Weather Service: A late season weather system will move into northern California tonight and is forecast to reach southern Nevada Wednesday. As the low tracks over the Sierra... a strong cold front will push through western Nevada. Winds will increase ahead of the front this afternoon with gusts up to 35 mph for the Sierra valleys and areas along Highway 395. Gusts near 45 mph are possible as the cold front passes through the region early Tuesday morning through Tuesday afternoon. Several inches of snow are expected in the Sierra... with light amounts possible for western Nevada. However... warm ground temperatures will limit or prevent accumulations on roads below 6000 feet.
