Road Conditions Update, 31 January 2008

Road surfaces at Montreux have been cleared of snow. Roadways are icy and slippery in spots. Please use CAUTION. Today's Weather: Wind Advisory from 10am to 6pm. Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 40. Windy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to between 25 and 30 mph. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Winter Storm Warning for the Lake Tahoe Basin until 4am Friday.

Montreux Road Conditions Update, 30 January 2008

At Montreux, road surfaces have recently been plowed; however, a light dusting of new snow has made the roads slippery in spots, use CAUTION! Weather for today: Low 24 with a 10 percent chance of snow showers this morning. Partly cloudy, with a high near 37 this afternoon. West winds between 10 and 15 mph. A winter storm watch is in effect for the Lake Tahoe basin and Washoe County for Thursday, 31 January 2008.

Tuesday, January 29th

No snow fell overnight. The roads in Montreux may be slippery in a few spots. Please drive with caution. The weather service calls for some snow during the day today and the possibility of snow from Tuesday into Wednesday.

Montreux Road Conditions Update 27 January 2008

Winter storm warning issued by National Weather Service for the Lake Tahoe Basin and Washoe County from 10PM Saturday 26 January through 10PM Monday 28 January 2008. Heavy snow falling with limited visibility. Use of chains required on Mt. Rose Highway above 7,000’. Snow removal equipment presently clearing road surfaces at Montreux, however, rate of snowfall has rendered road surfaces snow-covered and slippery. Use extreme CAUTION if traveling outside property.
