Security updates from Montreux Security Personnel.
To all our Montreux Residents:
As a result of the unfortunate event that occurred in our community in late March of this year, the Board of Directors took action to look into and evaluate our community security procedures. An independent committee comprised of six of our residents was established. After four meetings of this group, we would like to apprise everyone of the results.
First, it had been concluded that overall the security procedures and staff currently in place provide excellent security for our community with a few needed improvements. These improvements are currently underway and will be completed or implemented shortly. The fences along our eastern property boundary have now been almost completed and to better ensure our night-time security presence, a second security guard will be added to the staff for the mid-night to morning shift. In addition, the committee looked into and evaluated the feasibility and cost of installing TV/electronic security systems on the property. It has been concluded that these types of capabilities would not have prevented what occurred, but would also be prohibitively expensive to install and maintain.
In conclusion, we would like to remind everyone that the final and best step of any security is our own personal systems that we have or can have in our homes combined with an alertness and awareness of our surroundings, which coupled with our Montreux security staff and these changes discussed, will continue to maintain a first-rate and secure community
