Security updates from Montreux Security Personnel.
U.S. Forest Service Fuels Management personnel will be burning small piles of brush and woody debris in the Whites Creek drainage. The objectives of this burn project is to reduce wildfire risk and enhance forest and wildlife habitat. It is anticipated that this work will be accomplished over the next 90 days; however, it may be postponed if weather, fuels, and or smoke dispersal are not within prescribed limits.
The Whites Creek trail may be temporarily closed during burning operations.
Residents and travelers should expect to see and smell smoke from the prescribed fire.

To all Montreux Home Owners a Bear was caught by Department of Wildlife Biologist at approximately 3 PM.
The Bear was sedated by the Game Warden, and loaded into a Bear Trap. The Bear will be relocated off property.

Montreux Security would like to Caution all Home Owners that a bear has made entry into a home in Montreux. There was extensive damage to the interior of the home. Department of Wildlife will be setting a trap for the bear in Montreux. Until the bear is caught it is advised that all Home Owners insure that all doors into your residence are closed and
locked at all times.
Note: Security has Department of Wildlife information for Home Owners " Living with Bears in Nevada" if any Home Owners desires one.
