Security updates from Montreux Security Personnel.
PUBLIC SAFETY AND THE ADHERENCE TO TRAFFIC CONTROLS
The Montreux Board of Directors has recently received inquiries and concerns regarding the lack of adherence of traffic control measures, specifically speed limit and stop signs, within Montreux. The Board would like to remind all residents, members, guests, construction, delivery personnel and employees that it is your responsibility to obey traffic control measures while driving within the streets of our community. All vehicles, including golf carts, are subject to the same traffic laws and rules of the road that are in place on public streets. In the interest of public safety, the prevention of accidents, injuries and property damage, it is hoped that individuals will comply voluntarily. Non-compliance with traffic regulations can result in assessments. Construction workers, delivery drivers and employees may lose the privilege to drive on Montreux streets for unsafe driving.
Section 41 of the Montreux C C & R’s requires that all individuals obey signs and speed limits while on property. The Security Department will be stepping up its enforcement within Montreux. First time offenders will be sent a warning letter and repeat offenders will be subject to assessments by the Montreux Homeowners Association. If the offender is a construction worker, delivery driver or employee they will receive one warning. Any subsequent violation will result in a suspension of driving privileges within Montreux.
Traffic safety and the adherence to traffic laws is a concern and are the responsibility of all of us that live, recreate and work in Montreux. The needless tragedy of traffic accidents resulting in death, injury, property loss and litigation can be prevented.
The Montreux Board of Director asks that you drive safely and obey all posted traffic signs. The Board thanks you for your cooperation and understanding.
